Welcome to the Cornell Peter and Stephanie Nolan School of Hotel Administration

The Nolan School has long been a force in the hospitality industry, setting standards, advancing knowledge and developing leaders who make a lasting impact around the world. Its influence can be seen across every corner of the global hospitality landscape, and I’m honored to join a community with such a remarkable legacy.

What excites me most about the Nolan School is not only what it has accomplished but what lies ahead. We stand at a moment of tremendous opportunity with a chance to build on our strengths, embrace new ideas, and continue shaping the future of hospitality through innovation, discovery and leadership.

As I begin this role, my priority is to listen and learn. I look forward to engaging with faculty, staff, students, alumni and industry partners to understand the aspirations, challenges and opportunities that will define our next chapter. The Nolan School’s momentum is a result of the talent, dedication and ambition of this community, and I believe our greatest achievements will come from working together toward a shared vision.

I am deeply passionate about hospitality, higher education and the power of ideas to create meaningful change. Equally important, I believe in action. Our goal is to not simply generate knowledge but to translate it into impact — in our classrooms, in our groundbreaking research, and in our partnerships that shape industry and society.

Guided by Cornell’s founding principle of “any person, any study” we are called to foster excellence, expand opportunity, and ensure that diverse perspectives continue to fuel innovation. The strength of our global community is one of our greatest assets and it will help define the future we create together.

The hospitality industry is constantly evolving, and the Nolan School is uniquely positioned to lead that evolution. Together we have an opportunity to not only preserve our proud legacy but to elevate it through advancing knowledge, developing future leaders and creating new possibilities for the industry and the communities it serves.

I’m excited for the journey ahead and look forward to listening, learning, and working alongside you as we shape what comes next.
